Aht Test Was Fine

Peter & Dale: I ran the AHT test and everything worked out fine except for the fact that the maqchine crashed on the first test -- during the memory test. Subsequently I get cursor freezing either immediately on boot up or soon after I launch the first application. Do you think I should re-install OS 10.4? Are there software conflicts that might be creating this? The machine ran well with OS Tiger for about 3 weeks before these problems began (i.e., failure to boot, no grey or blue screen etc).

As always, any help will be greatly appreciated.

If your machine crashed while performing a memory test, then I would suspect that you have some bad memory.

Reinstalling the system won't fix your RAM -- you must take care of the RAM problem first and foremost before anything else.
