Airport card not seeing Linksys router

I have a dual processor G4 tower..with the silver doors on front..it's probably 3 years old..I am using a Linksys wireless router with a cable modem..I can connect fine with my two iBooks and my Thinkpad..

I just received the older airport card as the Extreme would not fit in the slot..

I am not able to see the wireless router at all. I did plug in the antena and can see the other laptops when I set them up on a private network..

Any help would be very appreciated!

Are you sure that your network is broadcasting an 802.11b signal? The old Airport cards cannot use 802.11g.
