After upgrading to Snow Leopard all my inboxes in Mail.app have been duplicated. So I have two of each, but one is empty and not fetching any mail. But I have also changed server so I have changed the incoming server address, so I don't know if this caused the problem?

I can not delete the empty mailbox. I attache a screenshot.

OK you have doing this long enough to know you should have listed how you are doing email. Is it through a work server on a domain? Is it a POP on IMAP server you use from home?

Plus have you done the reset Mail routine yet?

1. Write down your email server settings and leave noting in the INBOX.

2. Quit Mail.

3. Navigate to the folder /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/ and move the file com.apple.mail.plist to the Trash Can.

4. Open Mail and put in your email server settings like in the first step.

If this doesn't work or you forgot to write down the email server settings you can just put the com.apple.mail.plist back into the /Preferences/ folder (while you quitted Mail) that you originally took out to go back to the beginning.

Good luck.

Think I found the problem. My mobile.me sync seems to have added a duplcate mailbox when I changed the incoming server settings. Used TimeMachine to copy over the old plist and that worked.

Thanks and hope that works :)
