Any hacks to boot into mac os 9 on ibook g4?

It's certainly not much more than a hack. ... There were rumours that one could get OS 9 to boot on newer Macs, but they never were really confirmed. I'd try and find an iBook G3/800 or G3/900 for the task you need to boot into OS 9 for. Or even an old iMac. They're all good enough for OS 9.

The only hack that I've seen is from Apple themselves. Around the time that Apple dropped the ability to boot into OS 9 from all new Macs, they provided developers with a CD-ROM with a file on it called "Mac OS ROM" (a file that normally exists in an installation of OS 9, but this one was special) that allowed Macs that otherwise could not boot into OS 9 to do so.Phluxy said:
