I'm shooting with a Canon EOS 20D and importing into Aperture 2 (which I love!)
The EOS 20D has the ability to shoot in RAW+JPEG in the "Creative Zone" modes (i.e., P, Tv, Av, M and A-DEP). The quality of the JPEG image can be independently modified in the range S-coarse to L-fine.
Since Aperture uses the camera's JPEG, if present, as the preview image, and I can tolerare a very poor quality image for quick preview, should I simply set the JPEG half of the image to S-coarse (poorest possible), saving space and processing power loading the image? (I have an iBook G4 at the moment, and everything is really slow.)
TIA!
