Apple Developer Discount??

I heard rumor that you can get a one time discount if you join the apple developers connection. True? Any links where I can read the details?

Yes, but the membership to get those discounts is not free. I have a free student developer account, and I don't get discounts or advance releases of software or anything. Just basic connectivity to the developer site and the resources.

I am a student so the student discount looks best for me. Based on the url you sent me here is the breakdown as of today.

Considering the ADC discount is $500, it clearly is not worth it for the hardward discount alone. Although you could save $60 if you the 17".

The best part about the student discount is that you don't need to sign up for anything -- just click "Education" on the left-hand side of the Apple Store page, and pick your school!

If you want refurbished or discounted Macintosh computers, click the "red tag" "Special Deals" logo on the right-hand side column on the Apple Store page.
