looking at getting one for my windows machine... the 20incher.

anything I need to know/purchase to make this work? I hear they need a special type of graphics card to work - is this the case?

many thanks.

The Apple monitors use a standard DVI connection, so you'll just need a PC with a video card that can handle a DVI connection.

The monstrous 30" Apple Cinema Display uses a DVI connection as well, but requires a video card that supports dual-link technology.

i connected my apple cinema display to parents old P4 1.8 Dell Dimension 4300. worked like a charm

shows that windows was not designed for wide screen working! :p

yes, but an internet explorer window spans the whole screen by default, and when most web pages are still optimised for 800x600, like this one, what happens to the other 880 pixels? wasted space....

Heh; yeah, but no-one *forces* you to have the browser window maximised :p.

But yeah, I see your point; the taskbar would get plenty of room though :D.
