apple mail, not syncing all folders

At work we use MS outlook on Windows XP as email system. I was using Entourage on macbook but have just switched to Apple Mail. All good, it runs more smoothly, except the "sent" and "drafts" folders from apple mail don't synchronize with the sent items and drafts folders on outlook/exchange. All the other folders match, but when I send an email from home if I need to find it the next day at work, for example, it's only available on outlook if I saved it in a folder, not if just in sent messages. Likewise, while working from home I don't have access to drafts, as the folder on apple mail is empty. Can you please help me synchronize these folders?

Thanks,
Ken

Are you using Microsoft Exchange version of 2008 or better? I ask because if you are using Exchange 2003 be thankful that you got that working with Mail (in Snow Leopard the full Exchange is with Server 2008 or better, that is the only license Microsoft would sell to Apple).

Now if you go into Mail Preferences and look at the Sent Mail's preferences to see if you can tell it to saved the sent messages on the server?

I am seeing the same issue on a Macbook with Mail version 4.2. Had Entourage and switched a user over to Mail. Entourage Sent mail settings were fine, but Mail only shows items synchronized before I believe Entourage was installed. This is an Exchange 2007 Server.
