Apple makes a move

Apple buys the CUPS printing system. This is an unexpected move and has shocked the open source community with this move and they are a little worried. I am just wondering what this means in Leopard?

I am surprised that it shocked the FLOSS community... it is under GPL and FLOSS can always fork it if they want to.

Apple bought the source code to CUPS and hired its creator back in February of this year.

Personally, I'm a little worried but I hope it's for naught. I would hate to see Apple pull something underhanded to the open source community that is supporting it with much of the technologies it enjoys as well as some decent software.

Well what I hope this means is better networking printing in Leopard.
