Apple Pro Keyboard compatibility

The Apple website says that the current Pro Keyboard requires Mac OS X 10.2.

Will it absolutely not work with <10.2, or will it just not work 100% (which I guess means some keys won't work)...?

Cheers,

Jim

As far as I can see this is the same thing which worked fine in OS 9, OS X Public Beta, OS X 10.0, OS X 10.1 and now OS X 10.2...

Unless they have drastically changed the meaning of "Apple Pro Keyboard" to mean something COMPLETELY different than what was delivered with my iMac, it'll work PERFECTLY with any Apple OS...

Things like the volume, eject, and screen brightness keys will probably (hopefully) work in OS 9.... don't think Windows, though.

Volume and eject work in OS 9, thou volume has a way of being "hijacked" by iTunes...
Haven't tested about the screen brightness keys...

Dang, they came out with another pro keyboard? I bought one...hmm...almost a year ago now, and it doesn't have any screen brightness keys on it.

Oops. sorry. Forgot to mention that. Try F14 and F15 for brightness, even though they arne't labelled.
