Applications Folder is empty?

Hey, just installed 10.4 (Erase and Install, backed up)

For some reason, I can't see any apps in my Applications folder, it says "0 items".

But I can search for an app, or the Utilities folder and it will work. I can hold down the mouse on the Applications dock item and the applications are there. Just not when I view the folder via the finder. Anyone have any idea why?

Someone suggested relaunching the Finder -- I don't know if a Force Quit, log out, or complete restart was intended, but you may want to try all three to see if it helps.

Oh, by the way, thanks to Tiger, I guess, the iTunes eject problem's all gone.
