Audacity > recording from Sound Card

Hey all,
Im trying to record something running thru my sound card in Audacity. I see recording device but it can only be set to input audio on my mac. Any ideas?

Have you tried changing the input device in the "Sound" section of System Preferences?

ya i looked there i only have 'audio line in port', theres no option for the sound card.

Hmmm... weird! If it's not "seen" by the System Preferences, it's doubtful that any application will be able to see it.

What sound card is it?
