Auto mount disk image from USB stick ?

Hi all, long time no chat ;)

I've got Tiger and a Kensington DataTraveler (256 MB) partitioned in two: one 32 MB DOS16 and the remaining as a OS X extended journaled system that contains only one file: SECURE.dmg

Is it possible, either with an AppleScript action, or Tiger's new Automator, to have this (the disk image file) automatically mounted when I insert the stick (hook: when I mount its parent volume, the OS X extended partition) ? Password notwithstanding of course...

Did they just release you :)

Try recording an Applescript with Script Editor. Open and hit record, then plug the drive in and open the .dmg and see if it gives you a useable script.

Hi bob, yeah I've been away for a while :)

I did just that, actually, and did get a one-liner that will mount the image. However, what I'm still lacking is a way to trigger it automatically when the parent volume is automounted.

This is the *only* time I regret not having an analogue to autorun.inf on OS X :P
