Is it possible to make internet and file sharing start up automatically each time I start my Mac?

OS10.2

anything you want to have running when you boot up should be added to the 'log in items' in system prefs.

When adding to the log in items, you need to add applications. Internet sharing is set through the system prefs so how will this method work?

ok, you're talking about your server side sharing. you're in the wrong forum. i'm moving this to The Net: Web Development where somebody might know the answer.

Internet sharing and file sharing normally stay on after being set to ON. These are settings that stay permanently unless you turn them off, or the settings get lost through a reinstall, etc. Are you saying that file sharing does not restart by itself after a restart of the system?

Ok, I'll try and be a bit clearer:

I have broadband internet access through my G4. I share my internet connection with my Powerbook via airport. Every time I start up the G4 I have to go System Prefs > Internet > Share my Internet connection. I want to automate this procedure each time I start up my G4.

This is the right forum no?

Internet and file sharing stay on when I log out and log in another user. They turn off if I shut down and then start up.

i think it is now that i've moved it once again. now it's in The Net: Applications and Connections

the more specific people are with their requests for help from the start, the better others will be able to help them.
