blue screen

Hi
When I switch my macbook pro I get a blue blank screen right after the aple sign disapears and it stays that way untill I force shut down the laptop by press and holding the switch.
Please reply asap as I have a report to diliver on tuesday thank you

You are having a "kernel panic" which usually involve HARDWARE issues. See if you can run some HardWare Tests and see if they find something wrong.

Getting a blue screen on startup is not a kernel panic, and it usually doesn't indicate a hardware problem.

It usually indicates that there is a bad startup (login) item. See these Apple technotes for suggestions on how to deal with the problem:
