I have a Mac G4 dual 1.42 with 2 gigs of ram, OS 10.4.11, and a Pioneer DVR115D Superdrive. Recently I started getting buffer underrun errors every time I try to burn a dvd (Verbatim -r). I'm using an older version of Popcorn which has always worked well for me. This problem started after I went to satellite internet and a Belkin wireless router. I have verified that I have the latest firmware and software upgrades. I even wiped one of my internal drives and installed a basic system(10.4.6) and a fresh install of Popcorn and used it for my start-up disc but it didn't help. I am at my wits end with this and wondered if you could help.

It sounds like the drive itself is on its way out, unfortunately. Does this happen ALL the time, or just with specific brands of DVD-R media?
