build a cd-rw in cube

I have a wonderfull 450 MHZ cube with 192 MB RAM .
I have a slot loading cdrom and wan't a cd rewritble in it, but not a 4 or 8 speed from matsitma but a 16 or 24 speed from plextor.

Is that possible.
 
The G4 Cube wasn't really designed to be expandable or customizable - at least not internally. If you want a machine that can handle these sorts of modifications, I'd recommend a G4 tower.

If you want to add CD-RW to your Cube, I'd suggest you go with a USB or Firewire external drive.
