Can you help, Rich Text in Email Not Working?

I am looking for an answer to what must be a simple question that I have yet to locate. (Despite asking other mac users and searching google)
3 months ago I bought my first mac, and its great, the only thing I have not been able to do is paste in html into an email.
So if I go to a webpage that has pictures and links and text all mixed around, and hit and hold, apple icon + a, then, apple icon + c, (hi-light and copy) then into a blank email window, apple v to paste.. what I get is plain text with no pix, no links.. just the text. same thing if I try to drag.
any Ideas how to fix this..?
I have my compose preference setting at Rich Text.
do I need to do something else. I upgraded to Leopard but was acting the same way when it was running Tiger.

Try using Safari's menu item File - Mail Contents of This Page.

it's works in Safari! Thank you.. now I would like to get it working in firefox which is my preferred browser. But this is abig step in the right direction, not only does the Mail Contents of This Page, work, but copy and paste works.. may just be a firefox thing.. tx so much !
