Canon D480 set-up

I have purchased a Canon D480 for my office and I am trying to network the multifunction Canon through my Time Capsule. I have a MacBook Pro and the Canon D480 is unable to auto detect the IP address so that I can print. I downloaded the drivers from Canon's website, dropped the Canon folder from the disk that came with the Printer into my Mac HD, added the canon printer and now I get a error message stating that the "recipient not found". I tried to manually add the IP Address, subnet mask and the gateway address and that hasn't worked either.

I'm at my wits end and I'm not a technical person. Is there anyone that can help me with this problem? Thanks in advance for amy help with this aggravating problem.

I'm a mac and a Canon user. I'd suggest contacting Canon support. They should be able to help you with this issue. Without someone who's had and used that camera (I have not), it'd be hard for most people here to troubleshoot a Canon issue.

I've used Canon support before, you should get all the help you need there.

Did you ever use the correct drivers? Cannon also suggests networking the device and use remote management. The driver might be set for just the networking part, not USB.
