Can't Create Disk Image of main volume

I'm trying to create a disk image of my internal hard drive. I keep getting a message telling me that the resource is busy. Then tried creating the image starting up from the Apple DVD. Still no luck.

Any thoughts? Was able to do it successfully from my Powerbook a few weeks ago.

Try using Carbon Copy Cloner, available from versiontracker.com. It'll allow you to create a disk image of your boot drive, I believe.

What drive are you using for the destination? Are you trying to create the image on the same drive you're imaging?
