Hello to all,
I was just reading an email from a friend who proposed us getting together on a certain day next month (July 2015).
I clicked on the proposed date (displayed in the email as "- say Monday July 20th", but instead of giving me the option to name and add notes to the new calendar entry, it instantly saved it in iCal as "Birthday" and now won't allow me to delete it.
Each time I try it says that I have to open Contacts and delete the corresponding birthday entry - this can't be done from iCal.
Well, there bloody well isn't a corresponding birthday entry for that date as I don't know anyone with a birthday on that day! No birthday entry existed on that day until the system decided - off its own bat - to assign it as a birthday and block me from doing anything with it.
Is there seriously no way to delete this spurious entry from iCal?
Thanks,
Bowjest
PS - When did the format for this site get changed? I know I don't log in that often, but it was like pulling teeth trying to work out how to gain access via Firefox. I only lucked onto noticing that you have to carefully crawl along the top right of the screen with the cursor until it senses some unseen spot that turns it into a pointing finger, then carefully double click and only then does a new section of the screen jump down offering a login. What's up with that?
