I am running OS 10.4.8 on a G4 with a Pioneer DVR-107D superdrive. The system fails to recognize blank DVDs and CDs inserted in the drive. (However, the drive works fine when I use DragonBurn.)
The firmware in the drive is version 1.10. I understand that version 1.18 is available and would probably fix the problem. There are several sites on which that version is available for Windows, but can't find any for the MAC. I have seen suggestions for moving the drive to a Windows machine, installing the firmware and then moving it back into the Mac. Problem is I don't have a Windows machine.
Can anyone tell me where I can download firmware that I can apply in the Mac?
