Can't Install Installer Update??!?!!

Ok, so I've just done a clean repartition and reinstall of both OS 9.2.2 and OS X 10.1 on my dual 533 G4. Now, for some reason, I cannot install in Apple Installer Update that I need to upgrade to 10.1.3 or 10.1.4 or whatever. When I run the installer, it grays out my Macintosh HD partition where OS 10.1 is and will not let me install it. Why? I've done it before on two different Macs with no trouble.

Anyone have any solutions/suggestions??

Try getting it through the Software Update thing. I ran into similar problems when I wiped my hard drive clean and tried to reinstall OS X and get it back up to 10.1.4. I had all the packages downloaded so I wouldn't have to use software update, and even did them in the correct order. Gave me problems every time. I finally re-wiped, re-installed, and did the software update routine... worked flawlessly.

Thanks a lot, that did the trick. I suppose that annoying software update is useful after all....
