I"m using Mac OS 10.6.4

My Cyberduck was working just fine but today when I tried to upload a file to my host - I get this weird error display.

FTP Error: Upload Failed
I won't open a connection to 192.168.1.6 (only to 182.52.85.107)

What the heck is that? Please help!

It is say the 192 (a private IP) behind the 182 address Did not respond, doesn't exists or won't allow connections, take your pick.

Is this server on static IPs or on a DHCP client behind a router?

It's using a router. Funny thing is that I've uploaded a file yesterday to the same host and it didn't show this message.

Are you using DHCP on your network? If so, is it possible that the computer you want to upload to has changed IP addresses, and is no longer located at 192.168.1.6?

Are you trying to upload the file to a computer located inside your network, or somewhere else, across the internet somewhere?

same problem.. It looks like some issue with passive mode, but I can't seem to resolve it.

Ftping to a host with a static IP
Worked 2 weeks ago
Files list no problems
Can't upload or download

227 Entering Passive Mode (72,55,186,53,38,51)
PORT 192,168,1,105,195,116
500 I won't open a connection to 192.168.1.105 (only to 142.163.169.155)

Thoughts?

PS. I should also I add, I'm ftping through a firewall, and 1.105 is my IP.. so it seems cyberduck is asking the server to open a data connection to my local IP, not the external.. Any idea how to fix this?

Seems to be an SFTP issue. I just tried the same host with regular FTP and all is well. Perhaps there's an issue in the newest release with SFTP? I noticed my version has updated recently... anyway it's working now.

Hope this gets you up and running as well. Maybe try an older version if you need SFTP.
