Cd Burner Drained??

Hi there. I tried to burn a CD, and it says the buffer is drained...so it won't let me burn it. What does this mean, and how can it be fixed? It has given me that message another time, but after a few days I was able to burn a CD, so what's the deal? Thanks so much for any help. :o) Happy holidays.

That happens when you can't feed data fast enough to the CD-burner itself to keep up with the burning.

Try burning at a lower speed.

What are you trying to burn, and where is the data coming from? Also, is this an internal or external CD-burner, and what brand and speed is it? A lot of CD-burners have "buffer underrun" protection, which prevents you from draining the buffer like that.

Hi there. Yeah, when it says the buffer is drained, it mentions that the buffer underrun protection isn't on or something to that affect. The burner is internal. I'm trying to burn an audio CD. Thanks for the tips, I'll lower the speed, and see what happens..:o)
