Check dead pixel

I know there is a software use for checking dead pixel on LCD panels called PiXel Check, is there any other software which is similar for the same purpose ?

I'm going to take back my 12" PB and want to check for any problem pixel before taking it back to home.

There's an even easier way to look for dead pixels: look at your screen.

There's a (in my opinion silly) app on www.versiontracker.com that I saw a while back that will fill your screen with different solid colours to try to help you find a dead pixel, don't remember what it's called though-just search 'dead pixel'.

It's called Pixel Tester (I wonder where the name came from) Stuck pixels is maybe a better term (stuck on, stuck off, or part pixel stuck (red, green or blue)) Apple (or any other display seller) is usually not going to admit to selling perfect displays, and has allowances for stuck pixels called normal. This number varies by display size and manufacturer. Good luck!
