ChronoSync 3 macs into 2

Hi
I have two old G4's running Tiger, with two (the same) multi users on each.
I have a shiny new intel running Leopard.
I have ChronoSync.
First I want to sync the two old macs.
Then I want to use the Migration Assistant to pull all the files onto the new Mac.
Then I want to upgrade (one at a time) the old macs to Leopard.
Lastly I want to keep them all home-to-home synced in future.
The two old macs are almost identical, so am I foolhardy to just select both hard drves and doing a Grand Sync?
Any other thoughts, tips, caveats gladly accepted.

Now what are you trying to sync between the Macs? Bookmarks, videos, iTunes Libraries, contacts, programs? What?

Initially, everything. But if you want to be specific, the 'users' and the 'library' should contain nearly everything shouldn't it? I do want to sync the applications as well though.
My thoughts are, since the new mac has massive storage available, to drag a copy of the hard drive off each of the old macs onto the new, for safe keeping as a backup. Then sync the two old macs. Then migrate from one of the old to the new.
Check everything is playing the game, clean install leopard onto one of the old ones, migrate everything back again. Ditto with the second old one.
Once everything checks out Ok then delete the backups off the new mac.
In future to sync two of them and use the third as a backup/archive. Or is a three-way sync the best practice?
