Clock Flashing

2 or 3 times rtecently the clock has been flashing and the apple menu text has been split up on starting. I've rebooted and the problem has gone. I'm using a G5 with OS 10.4.11. Can anybody explain why this happens and if I should do anything about it before something more serious happens?

Might it just be needing a new battery?

First delete the file com.apple.finder.plist (/YourHardDrive/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist), restart then re-do the Finder's preferences. This might help with the Finder acting up. Also in the same folder delete com.apple.MenuBarClock.plist to reset your Clock. you then will need (upon a restart) to reset your clock time.

Hopefully deleting those two files will reset the problem in your Mac. Good luck.

Thanks for buzzing down to planet earth to fix my problem. It's now running fine and hopefully won't reappear.
