Hi,

I haven´t been able to figure out how to close the screen of my powerbook without making it go to sleep. How do I do it so when I close the screen the apple continuos running. For example if I want to watch a movie in the TV I have to keep the screen open. What is the set up to do nothing when you close the screen so I can still watch the movie in the TV while having the powerbook closed.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks. I have tried the application but when I star the application it does not do anything, and I do nnot get a icon in the menua bar. What am I doing wrong? Any idea.
Thanks again.

I thought that the PowerBook already allowed for this? For iBooks, you could use Screen Spanning Doctor, or something similar, but I thought that the PowerBooks could already be set to not sleep when the screen was closed. Is that not true?

You need an external keyboard, mouse and display to use the PowerBook in closed-lid mode. It sounds like he wants to use an external display (the TV) without a keyboard and mouse.

I don't think it's possible to close the computer without putting it to sleep. It is possible to close the computer and have it go to sleep, then wake it up with an external keyboard or mouse. If you've got an extra mouse laying around, try connecting the PowerBook to the TV, power it up, confirm that it works, close the lid, plug in a mouse then wake it up with a click of the mouse. Should still be able to do everything you need to do in DVD player with solely a mouse and no keyboard.
