Comcast blows!

Sorry, I've been using comcast (and @Home prior to that) for around 3 years, with few complaints, except last year during a changeover. comcast is somewhat slower than @Home (usually tests @1.6 MB - fast enough for my needs) Iv'e used my connection on about 6 different Macs and Pcs, with never a problem with setup. (except for Mail, which only would happen on my own system anyway.) Sorry about your local probs with Comcast, I don't consider it overpriced, but YMMV
 
I'd recommend DSL as being more reliable; I don't know what cable companies are of quality.

But yes, I agree: Comcast bites. Many people have been complaining to our local paper recently about unresolved problems they've had that Comcast basically ignores.
 
I'll just throw my complaint out here. :)

Comcast recently broke my email without telling me, and they blocked their users from any site hosted by ICDSoft. Boo!
 
Can you guys please go in depth into the email problem? I had a problem with Mail.app two weeks ago. I couldn't receive my email at all, although it was only one account. And to top it all off the account that wouldn't work in Mail.app worked in Entourage. I called comcast and apple..nothing...and all of a sudden one day it started working again. Is this what others experienced?
