Connecting Macmini to Projector Panasonic Pt-ae900 Dvi to Hdmi

Hello,

there is no help on mac.com support site about this topic, so I need to ask it here.

I have just bought a Mac Mini 1.42Ghz and a Projector Panasonic PT-AE900 and want to conntect them over HDMI cable.

Since Mac Mini has a DVI interface I purchased a DVI:HDMI Adaptor what seems to work.

But, switching both harware on, there is no picture on the Projector!

Questions:

. is the setting not working?
. do I need to change settings on my mac so that this projector is accepted at 720p?

I'd go for the obvious first. Check your projector to see that you have it set to accept the HDMI signal.

The projector is set to automatic video signal source finding, also hitting the button for HDMI activation on projector won't help. I even tried another DVI:HDMI cable and there is no signal coming through!

Could it be that MacMini Video is set to 1280 x 750 and the projector is accepting 1280 x 800, no .. x 750 signal?
 
I spose you could try different resolutions and see what happens. I'd also check out the Display preference in your System Preferences, there may be something in there but I'm only guessing.
