Core 2 Duo Swap from Core Duo Possible???

I have a 2.16 core duo. Can I buy a Core 2 Duo and swap it myself? I'm good with the hardware swap no problem.. but what else would I have to do?

If not.. can the Apple store do it for me? I'm looking to lower the temperature down mainly. Money is no issue.

No, the processor is soldered to the logic board - not swappable...

If money is not an issue, then purchase a new 17-inch, and sell the 'old' one on eBay.
