Costumizing osx

i have decided to completly customize my osx. so i need to know how to apply icons to folder. like the hard drives ect. i know how to do it with app's just not folders sense you cant open them in resedit...
 
For a quick and easy way to do it, you can use the old OS 9 method of copying and pasting the icons from the Get Info windows. That's how I put custom icons on my hard drives.

I downloaded a bunch of icons from xicons.com or something like that -- got info on the icon file, clicked the icon, copied it, then got info on the hard drive, clicked the icon, and pasted. Presto.
 
ElDiablo I believe satanicpoptart wanted to know how to change some of the unchangable resources and be able to change all the folder icons without having to do it manually. If that's true satanicpoptart. Go here:

They have everything you need to know about customising icons in the articles section. They also have the largest library of OS X only icons.

yea, i was wondering if it was going to the party as spiderman or barney:p maybe as a gypsy or a playboy bunny. I think it would look pretty good with a push up bra:D
 
I know this is off topic, but has anyone seen "Leagally Blonde"? This conversation reminds me of Reese Witherspoon showing up at the house party in a Playboy bunny costume. Very cute! :)
