Cubase Le wont start up on my Macbook...

I just recently upraided my hard drive and softwear from os x 10.4.11 to 10.5.8 and when I try to open cubase Le it says there's was a problem Cubasestop workin unexpectidly can some one tell me what shoul I do?
 
I downloaded Cubase LE 4 but I can find the serial number on My Macbook to register the product were do I find it?
 
The serial number that you need would be the serial number for Cubase, not your Macbook's serial number.
When you purchased that from Steinberg, you would have the serial number, either with the downloaded software, or Steinberg may have sent that to you separately. I really don't know how downloads from Steinberg function.
If you got your software through some 'other' method, then you're on your own with that.
 
Lol I know what u mean but Im looking for the Cubase serial number I went to the Steinberg website and down loaded the cubase LE 4 upgrade it never said i had to buy it But who knows..Thanks for your help...
 
If you return to the download page, then you should see details about registering your software. I'm guessing that you need to do that if you want to use that update, is that correct?
If your Cubase software is presently not working, you could also try reinstalling Cubase from your original disks. The serial number should be with those, or, you may then have working software, and then you may have access to a serial number in an 'About' box.
Maybe...
