Customising the OS completely?

So I was wondering if it is possible from a software or library with premade mac os x designs or something similar to customise the look of Mac OS X completely or partly? I was looking at this article and it'd be awesome if something like that would actually be achievable (easily?) with some kind of software or hack.

If you are running 10.5 or older versions of OS X, there were several different theming apps, some worked better than others.
Apple has made that kind of option quite challenging now, but there are still some possibilities.

Flavours allows you to use and create themes for OS X.

And, Apple might provide something like what you found, if you upgrade to OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) when it is released.
As many notice (for better or worse), OS X and iOS are merging to some extent. Apple might offer an appearance option in OS X to more closely resemble iOS, if that is your preference (not mine :D )

I'll look into it, thanks :)
