CX5400 not printing yellow and magenta

Hi all,
I've had this Epson CX5400 for about 10 months now and it's been pretty much problem free. Well, here's the problem I'm having. I bought some cheap unofficial cartriges for it one day because they are cheap and cheap is good when you don't have money. Until your printer stops printing yellow and magenta presumably becuase of the bad cartriges. So today I went and bought some good old official Epson cartriges and still the yellow and magenta cartriges will not print anything. I've done the cleaning thing once with the utility but that made no difference. What's the problem? Anyone know?

Does the Epson Utility show that your printer ink levels are all good? If so, then clean again. I often must run clean cycles numerous times. Try at least 10 before declaring failure, and try reseating those tanks again. Epson does not recommend doing this, but if it makes a difference before replacing the printer, try it. Cheap ink is sometimes not a bargain!
