I accidentally set my violin music book on my keyboard instead of behind it
while practicing, and it somehow caused the name of one of my folders to
disappear, leaving a double row of slashes where the name was.
How can I put the name of the folder back?

I have a Mac Pro, Running 10.6.8

You've asked about this before, (and you promised not to put a music book on your keyboard again :D )

One of many methods to edit the name of a folder:
Click once on the name line, pause a moment, then click on the name again. You can then edit that name to what you like.
or,
select that folder, and Command-I (Get Info). Open the tab for Name & Extension, and change the name there.

Just try it, it's easy to change the name.

Ah, yes, and the lesson to take from this? A computer keyboard is still not a very effective music stand, eh?
