Desktop Problem.

My Finder is screwed. :/
I tried to install UNO, and everything went fine... except for the fact that my desktop isn't working. No icons appear, and I can't use it at all. I can still open Finder windows though.

I've tried uninstalling it and restarting it.

Any help?

Try to delete the Finder's preferences (/YourHardDrive/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist) and Dock's preferences' (/YourHardDrive/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.dock.plist & com.apple.dock.db). Then reboot. Plus try to make a Test User account and see if that account has problems.

I had this problem also - after install of 10.5.1. Its a persmissions issue but fix permissions did not resolve the issue.

The only solution I found was to create a new account from blank.

However,

You can use terminal (command ls -la) to see the files.
