Dialup and call waiting

I have call waiting on my phoneline.
After i activate the PPP dialup on my Mac and i try to call this number, the Mac does not disconnect! Therefore i could be loosing important calls. I only have one phone line in my house, so the Mac needs to free up this phone line if a ring is indicated.

Does anyone else have the same problem or a solution, so the Mac actually reacts on the call waiting signal??

That's different, most people want to disable call waiting when connecting to the internet, with *70 command in the dialup. Not all modems disconnect with the call waiting signal. Perhaps there is a device from Radio Shack or somewhere that provides an audio or visual signal when there is an incoming call. Make sure you're not using *70, which disables call waiting while you are connected.
