Disable shutdown confirmation?

Hello all, new to the forums here...

I was wondering if there was a way to suppress the confirmation dialog that pops up when you click Apply menu -> Shutdown - ? I would never click it by mistake and having to click "OK" or whatever to actually shutdown is just one more step that slows me down. Any help would be appreciated!

Hold down the option key as you select the "Shutdown" menu command. You'll notice that it changes from "Shutdown..." to "Shutdown" (minus ellipsis). The ellipsis means that the command requires further interaction, while lack of ellipsis means that no further interaction is required.

Works for "Log out" and "Restart" as well.
