Disk acces denied for pc formatted fw drives?

How do I go around this? Got 2 fw drives which are pc formatted (on a pc). I have only read rights to them. How can I change it to full r/w????
The ignore permissions button does not appear in info window!

They're probably NTFS format, aren't they? NTFS format is read-only on the Mac.

If you want a PC format that's also read/write on the Mac, use FAT32.
