DNS name and Computer Name

Hi everybody!

I've set up a Mac OS X 10.6 Server on a Mac Mini Server computer. The computer is connected to the internet via a modem/router (supplied by the Internet Service Provider). I didn't used the NAT protocol because the Mac Mini Server has only one ethernet connection.

During installation and set up I left the DNS and the Computer Name proposed by the installation process; they sound like:

DNS: host123-45-static.67-89-b.business.providername.com
Computer Name: host123-45-static

This result sounds strange to me, especially the fact that in the DNS appears the provider name!
The "host123-45-static.67-89-b.business.providername.com" appears in the email address of every account I create in Server Preferences.

I would like to change them. Can I change them? Did I do something wrong during the installation process?

Any advice is welcome! Thanks a lot in advance.

Massimo

PS: I apologize for my English, it isn't my mother language.

You should be able to set the computer name in System Preferences > Sharing.

The edit button will also let you use a dynamic global hostname.
