Dock Graphics error

I noticed this a while ago, but im not sure if it happens on everyone's macs. When I move my cursor onto my dock (set to magnify) the icons move, but some traces of where they were before i cursored onto them remains. For example, where open app's icons have been, a sort of 'ghost' of the black triangle is still seen when that icon moves through magnification.

Is this normal? I will upload a picture if i can so you can see what i mean.

Do you have any Dock "haxies" installed, like something that changes the appearance or placement of the dock?

I do have a hidden setting for the dock shadow enabled via Onyx. Does that class as a haxie?

yes. try resetting that

Sort of -- not really a haxie, but more of a hidden feature. Why it's hidden could be that it's just not a complete feature, it's a buggy feature, or Apple just didn't give you direct access to that feature.

First thing's first, though -- return the Dock to an "as-stock-as-possible" configuration -- turn off all the little extra settings you've turned on, etc. and see if that helps. If not, we can try something else, but since you've modified the Dock in a way that isn't supported by Apple, let's start there...

Yeah you were right, the shadow feature was causing the glitch. Sorted now, thanks for your help!
