Does anyone have an extra Mac OS 8.6 CD they'd be willing to send me or setup for download? I'm trying to get my 9600 set up on OS 9

Why do you need 8.6, if you want to install OS 9?

Won't boot from that CD? Won't install? Is is a full OS 9 install, or labeled as an update? (You can't 'update' to 9.1 if 9 is not already installed)

8.6 won't help. Sounds like you may have a bad CD.

I found out its a problem with my CD's I can't get any of them to work.

You should probably check http://www.ebay.com or http://www.shrevesystems.com for a system 8.6 or 9 disk.
