Guys, is there a way to disable iPhoto from poping up when inserting like a USB media with images on it from a Digital camera or something?

OS 10.3 and iPhoto version 2.0
 
Use Image Capture, you can set the default there.
I'm sure you can change it somewhere within the iPhoto preferences also.
 
Thanks, I also was looking for that info... Apple should definitely add a sys-pref pane for handling default applications/media/internet protocols... (I know that there are third party things, I want Apple to do it...)
 
I think he means that the Preference for which application opens when you insert a picture CD or USB media with photos on it is actually in the ImageCapture preferences.

In the Preferences menu of Image Capture, there should be a "Camera" tab. Under that tab, set "When a camera is connected, open:" to "No Application" (or whatever application of your choice). This setting also affects USB memory card readers as well.

I didn't even know about imagecapture till now... that's awesome :-)
