downloading question...Please Help!

everytime I try to download pspware and other software the page just refreshes. I have tried from various sites and I have checked to see if the program is already on my computer. HOW COME I CANT DOWNLOAD SHAREWARE OR FREEWARE?!!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!!
 
Are you using Safari?

Is your downloads window open already? It doesn't grab focus when a new download starts... that one still gets me.

Maybe try right clicking (cntlclick) and save link target as so you can choose a place to save it.
