Dragging Music from iTunes to MP3 player

I have some CD's loaded onto iTunes that I cannot drag into my MP3 player. I have others, including podcasts, that I have no problem dragging to the player.

The CD's were dragged to the MP3 player in the past, but now I can't do it. Any ideas how I can transfer these files successfully?

Did you rip the CD with iTunes? If so, is it possible you ripped the songs as AAC files, and not MP3 files, and AAC files may not be compatible with your MP3 player (if it's not an iPod)?

What kind of MP3 player is it?

My CD was not ripped from iTunes but I did import it. It worked once but then not again.
I have podcasts that I've gotten from iTunes that just will not go into my player. I have a Sansa MP3 player. In iTunes I used the "convert to MP3" but it still doesn't work on the CD nor the podcast. I have no problems with other CD's or podcasts. That's what's so weird.
