drivers for canon scanners

i need a flatbed scanner that works with osx. i really like the canon ones because they're very thin and usb-powered. but, i was looking on their site and they didn't say if the scanners worked with osx. does anyone know anything about this?
 
I have the CanoScan N1220U. I love the scanner, but it doesn't sem to be supported by OS X. The main way I import is through PhotoShop (the light version conveniently came with the scanner), which is not an OS X app. There is also a 'scanner toolbar' which pops up when the button on the scanner is pressed. That's not an OS X app either.

So unless there is some configuration thing that I am missing, the N1220U isn't compatible with OS X. Maybe PhotoShop for OS X will import properly...
 
I also have an Canon scanner model N656U which is not supported by Mac OS X. It's really annoying because i just bought it 6 month ago :(

I hope that they will release a driver Mac OS X or els i have to buy a new one.
