Hi,
When the computer goes to sleep either by the user selecting the sleep
option from the menu or by machine inactivity, it only remains in sleep mode
for about a minute before powering up both the machine & display.

Computer: Dual G5, OS 10.4.1 (Fresh install), 30 inch Apple display, Apple
keyboard & mouse.

Thanks for your help,
Navraj.

Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with this machine.
I failed to mention that we had upgraded the graphics card to support
the 30 inch display. Could this have something to do with it?
Card: Nvidia GeForce 6800

thanks for your help.

Bob,
It turns out that when the printer is switched on it cannot go to sleep. Strange?
Xerox Phaser 3450 (USB).

Thanks for your post.

Navraj

A lot of USB devices cause instability when it comes to sleep and power on/off. It's usually relegated to USB hubs and sub-standard USB devices, but any USB device can be a culprit. When encountering power on/off and sleep issues, USB devices are the first place I look.

Glad you found a solution!
