two questions

1 the sound and the video are not always synchronous when I play a DVD. Is this a common problem or can I fix it?

2 what does scan frequency mean in the controller menu (2x, 4x, 8x)?

Well, for #2, that is the speed the movie will run at when using fast forward or rewind. Don't know about #1 though. Never seen it on mine yet.
